White House Renovation Wood
Want to own a piece of history. Each of these pens are just that, a small piece of history. Maybe wood from the White House or a historical battleships, a little bit of everything for the history buff.
The White House original construction was completed in 1800 with John Adams as its first resident. In 1814, during the War of 1812, the mansion was set ablaze by the British Army in the Burning of Washington, destroying the interior and charring much of the exterior. Reconstruction began almost immediately, and President James Monroe moved into the partially reconstructed Executive Residence in October 1817.
The wood Stadium Pen Blanks has available is original to 1817 and removed during one of three separate renovations. The Roosevelt renovation of 1902, the Coolidge renovation of 1927, and the Truman renovation of 1948-1952. This wood is from the beams removed during the Truman renovation.
Note: Stadium Pen Banks is the supply company that KKTurnings uses for raw materials to produce finished products.
This pen is a rollerball style pen with magnetic cap that posts to either end of the pen. Ink refills available upon request.
